Verzetsmuseum - Museum of The Resistance
Illustrations & animations for 4 different interactive exhibits
The Verzetsmuseum is considered the best historical museum of the Netherlands, it tells the story of the Dutch people during World War II. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Yipp on 4 different interactive exhibits.
Projection mapping
This exhibit projects 3 different stories onto an impressive maquette made out of rubble. I created a combination of video, photos and illustrations that animated to create a visual story. This animation acompanied the text shown in the exhibit.

Wall projection
One of the exhibits tells the stories of important members of the resistance. I worked on illustrating and animating the stories which were projected onto a 3 meter wall. My process consisted in storyboarding the given script and afterwards illustrating the final scenes and animating it.
Each story has it's own distictive color and can be triggered by sensors on the wall.

Interactive Table
The subject of this exhibit was very interesting to work with. On this interactive the visitors are led by hands (which are mine :), scroll to see the behind the scenes) and a voice over that guides you through the process of falsifying identity cards, a method created by members of the resistance, to help others.
The table consists of a projection in combination with real elements to interact with. I had the great oportunity to photograph the original items used on the final digital composition.
